PTA Membership

The Delta View Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a part of something much larger than just our school. We are part of the State PTA and then onto the National PTA, a non-profit organization that began over 100 years ago.

Currently, the national PTA has over 6.5 million members, 26,000 chapters in all 50 states.

The PTA has significant lobbying power at the state and federal level when it comes to legislation that affects our kids. With over 6.5 million members nationwide, lawmakers have grown to respect and listen to the PTA. Our success is based lagely on the numbers - together we make a lasting impact that benefits our kids.

  1. The California State PTA is the largest volunteer association in the state dedicated to improving the well-being of all children and youth. PTA membership provides the opportunity for parents, grandparents, teachers, community members and even students to raise their voices with others on a state and national level to speak for all of our children and their families. Our delta view PTA members are the strength of our association, helping to make positive decisions that affect the welfare and education of our children. Three decades of research has recognized that the most effective component of a student’s success is parental participation in the student’s education. Grades and test scores increase. Social and behavioral skills advance. Students graduate and go on to post-secondary education.

This 2018-2019 school year we are expecting to welcome the most members our school has ever recorded.

"A number of the founding teachers still teach at Delta View Elementary – a testament to the warmth and spirit of this learning community."

What is the PTA?

A CARING

COMMUNITY

Delta View PTA was opened in 2001 to serve the needs of our growing community. Over the years, the school has earned praise for its continuous improvement in student test scores AND consistently high levels of parent satisfaction. In 2008, the school won the Mayor’s award of distinction for its after-school arts program.
